1/10/2015 grey stallion by Armas Diestro and out of Armas Estepena. Born in Spain and purchased from Yeguada Trujillo. Stands 15.3 hands and hopefully will be a perfect match for some of my extra-tall mares. Still very dark at coming 5 years of age, betting will throw color. Please see videos of Lejio's dramatic sire and of his incredible grandsire, Spanish National Champion and beautiful moving Judio VII. Ancee revised.
One of my friends/customers pointed out that Lejio is a combination of what I loved about both Wanapum (movement/power) and Gitano (temperament, looks). Maybe that is one of the reasons I was drawn to him!
Valente is beginning Lejio's under saddle work so will wait to see if we feel he is ready to breed in Spring, 2020. Certainly no rush, but anxious to see if Lejio will throw his sweet temperament and powerful movement.
What a gift that the sale of this filly fell through when she was a baby. I am not always able to keep a foal every year, but it was essential to my breeding program to keep a Destinada filly as Destinada reaches her breeding years "maturity". Or as she gets old, like me is the easier way to say it! This filly is not only huge in size, but huge in movement and personality. First one at the gate as I've created another treat-begger. We shall see who her perfect "husband" will be in the future but until she is breeding age, I will just enjoy her larger-than-life friendly personality and watch her become a gorgeous mare.
Inquieta de Maria is a darling yearling grey pure Spanish filly that was sired by the Ancce Qualified Stallion, Fugitivo XII and out of imported mare, Beliza de Fraile. Inquieta's grandsire is Utebo II, Qualified Stallion who was National Champion of Spain at Sicab in 2003. Best pals with Fantasia who arrived a few months before Inquieta. These two promise to be amazing breeders and potential show girls!
