Baena H

revised by Teodoro and out of Daniella. Born 4/3/97, Baena took my heart from the moment she was born. I rushed to show her as a yearling and she was Top 5 in the 1999 IALHA Nationals - Junior Filly. Again in halter, she was top 5, 2001 IALHA Nationals - Junior Mare and under saddle at age 3, 2000 IALHA Reserve National Champion - Country Pleasure Saddle Seat Junior horse. Her father, Teodoro, was the National Champion Stallion of both the American and International Andalusian Associations. Her mother, Daniella, was the IALHA Grand National Champion Mare and Grand National Champion of Best Movement. Baena is almost 16.2 hands with breathtaking movement and is revised. Baena is not being sold as a broodmare unless to a home that has ability for embryo transfers. Because I couldn't wait to breed her to a safe breeding age to carry, we did two via embryo transfers when Baena was young, producing Emiliana now in her home in Florida and Freya, now in her home and showing in dressage in Michigan. Baena carried and delivered her 3rd filly in a row, October, 2002; this one by Ciclon H, named Galilea H. Baena's next glorious huge bay filly died by Oficial died within a few hours of her birth and with the shock of that, I decided to give Baena some time off and she took a hiatus from breeding and was in dressage training with Marsha Heiden in Ohio who indicated Baena was working at 2nd level. After a season, she came back to us and Valente showed her once in dressage but that weekend she was in heat, intense and we are just not set up for much dressage competition due to time involved in all the other breeding and showing so I brought Baena home that day and bred her and she took. This year, her huge gorgeous bay colt by Gitano died in utero at term. As a result, I feel that Baena's destiny is to find a riding home as opposed to here where our mares are strictly for breeding. She is so big, beautiful, with such movement and so smart that it would be unfair to her to stand in my pasture unused. She is very responsive, anticipates the rider's wish and will do best with a quiet and confident female rider. Trailers great with lovely ground manners and used to a herd environment. If I had the time and money to do embryo transfers, I would never part with this special mare but embryo transfers require an investment of time and money that I don't have at this time. Obviously, by this long story, this is a painful choice but I owe it to Baena to find a rider who could enjoy this wondrous mare. $25,000

Leal EE:

April, 2007 pure spanish, inscription/revision eligible colt out of Iana D (Granadino XI x Briosa D, a bay so carries the well known Leviton/Agente lineage) by Gitano Mor. Iana's 4 year old grey colt by Remate is excelling at cross country and Iana loves to work so this colt should be a guy with a work ethic. Belongs to my friends who sold Iana and all her other mares other than Marisma who is back here with us and who are getting out of the horse business so Leal here to find his permanent home. His name means "loyal". $10,000

Libertado H:

early grey, pure spanish, inscription/revision eligible son of Hipolita H (Remate x Ibiza) and by Ami MacHugh/Jackass Mountain Ranch's huge import from Spain, Competidor XIII. Libertado was one I was sure I would keep for a future breeding stallion and dressage prospect-great mind, miles of legs, will have beautiful face like his sire. TALL. Should finish way over 16 hands, probably over 16.2. Born 3/9/07 with brains, looks, size, movement, rare lineage and what more could you want? The only fault I can find is that I have kept 10 Remate daughters and have Galisteo such that another male related to Remate just doesn't make sense for my long term breeding goals. This one will be brutal to see off! $15,000. So tall and lanky that have to see his wonderful structure and envision what he'll become as he is thin and all angles.

Larapio H

2/28/07 grey colt by Hereje TG and out of Remate spanish/portuguese daughter, Gentileza H. For you Hereje fans, here is the first one of his available in a while! And worth waiting for--this colt is lovely, charming and just regal. His coat looks like velvet and I am guessing he'll end up with the sheen his father has. Leggy and wonderful. $9,000

Leona H

2/16/07 Okay, so at first I said she was black. Then I said black/bay like Gitano. Well, now she is a true black, like half brother Chulo. Pronounced Lay-OH-na, this filly has her mothers' striking neck, a gorgeous profile and a little kick at the end of her extension. Due to Colombina's age and inability to confirm via DNA parentage at the Yeguada Militar where she was bred, Colombina ineligible for revision and thus, filly will be IALHA registered only. Verified via UC Davis coat color test result is EEaa: black pigment distributed uniformly: basic color is black in the absence of other modifying genes. A solid black filly at $12,000 is an absolute steal! $12,000

Conesa

Tall and big, grey mare out of Double National Champion, Daniella and by the King of Movement, Indiano XVIII. A loving and gentle soul with the powerful movement you would expect from both parents. Conesa's 2004 filly, Helada, was sold in utero and was USEF halter horse of the year and in May 2006 was High Point Horse at our local Andalusian show. Conesa's fall, 2005 colt by Ciclon, Invicto, is powerful, huge moving, kind and big boned. (see sales page) Conesa's January 2006 filly was wondrous: tall, kind, and huge boned. Conesa's 2007 filly was sold in utero. Due April, 2008 with Remate foal. $35,000 in foal. If can ship before mid February for this foal, or otherwise, next September, back in foal, after the 2008 foal is weaned. 5/17/07 daughter of Epica (Ravel x Jaira) and Remate. I was hoping to keep this filly to add to my broodmare band. Nice size, pretty eye big bones but mostly, wonderful and outgoing temperament-one of the real lovebugs that comes right up and can't get enough affection in the pasture. Both parents revised. $12,000

Donosa EE

5/4/05 pure spanish grey daughter of Ciclon and a mare I never owned, Denham bred Nevada D. I had the honor of breeding Nevada several years and had Donosa here when she was a weanling at her mother's side. A complicated story but when I found out Ciclon's new owner had gelded him, I was sick to get something of him back here and bought Donosa about a year ago. Now, fate has brought Ciclon back to me and although I adore Donosa, the whole reason she came no longer exists. She so wants and loves attention that I think she'd blossom in an environment with a smaller herd or a one-on-one basis. She just is radiates joy and is such a doll. Both parents revised and we have no explanation of why we have not yet received Donosa's carta as all inscription documents were filed when the Cria was handling spanish paperwork so hopefully, is forthcoming. Donosa does toe in so not recommended if you are looking for a show horse, but if you want a best pal, I think you could fall in love if you came and met Donosa. $15,000 as coming 3 year old

Fantasia DD

3/17/05 grey pure spanish TALL filly by Remate and out of Donna DeYoung's fantastic Keberes D (Leia). In my attempt to reduce my numbers, I feel sick to offer this wonderful filly but having her full sister, Destinada DD, it is hard to argue why this one is mandatory. A dressage prospect to be sure with her height and swinging, free movement but also a great breeding prospect with her lineage and all the championships her parents and her full sister have won. Due to time and Valente already being overworked, we will not start her under saddle and will breed her in the spring probably if she is still here. You will be hard pressed to find a coming of breeding age filly available anything like Fancy. As is the case with Donosa, both Fancy's parents are revised and we have no explanation of why we have not yet received Fancy's carta as all inscription documents were filed when the Cria was handling spanish paperwork so hopefully, is forthcoming. $25,000

Hermosura H

4/16/03 spanish portuguese grey filly who is a daughter of Remate and out of 16.2 hand bay, Hermosa D. This mare, of all the Remate daughters, most inherited his gorgeous neck and the lovely face. I've roached the other daughters' manes but can't bring myself to cut of Sura's! She is so kind and gentle and one that people are always so drawn to when they come to visit. Last year, she had a handsome Hereje colt, Lucero, and I liked him so much, I bred Sura right back to Hereje and she is due in May, 2008. If can ship before mid March before last trimester, or otherwise, next September or October, back in foal, after the 2008 foal is weaned. If you buy before she is bred back, you can choose from our stallions for her next breeding.

Miro H what a great New Year's treat! Born 1/1/08, this grey colt is a bundle of personality and just precious. Both parents (Incauta and Hereje) are revised by Cria Caballar. Incauta has had mostly fillies so I thought back to her first colt, Degas, and decided to go with the pattern of males being named for artists. Miro was one of the most famous artists from Spain and since this little fellow is a true work of art, that became his name. $9,000.00

Matro

1/14/08 son of Gitano Mor and out of Gema TG. Both parents revised. Well, the guessing game again with color. You'd swear this colt will be black but I am always hesitant to promise when mom is grey-but I'd gamble anything that this colt will throw black regardless. Very calm and sweet personality as if will be one that will try to please and be a good boy at all times-gorgeous neck and head. $12,000. His name means "God's gift". Full brother last year is s a solid, dark bay.

Listo H:

1/2/07

Pure spanish, grey full brother to Khan out of Flama H (Hereje TG x Incauta TG) x Galisteo H (Remate x Ibiza). Pedigree full of champions both in Spain and US but what is most exceptional, is this colts, quiet and calm, interested spirit. We have had lots of inclement weather, but I'm predicting this one will be a superior mover --big bone and substance. Eligible for spanish papers and IALHA registration applied for. $10,000

Corona DD

2/8/04 grey spanish/portuguese andalusian who is the daughter of Careta (above) and by Hereje. Corona is in foal to my black Chulo who is so gentle natured and such a gem that I feel he'll add to any mare's qualities. Chulo will be as big or bigger than his sire, Gitano Mor who is 16.2 and just started under saddle shows great promise. He was 2006 IALHA National Champ PSP 2 and under colt and should have other titles in his future and again, wondering if Corona doesn't have the possibility of producing black? Will be sold in foal with live foal guarantee. Corona's dna analysis from UC Davis indicates she has at least the possibility of having a black with Chulo. Foal due March, 2008. $18,000

Khan H

1/16/06

Pure Spanish, inscription/revision eligible colt out of Flama H (Hereje TG x Incauta TG) x Galisteo (Remate x Ibiza). I suppose the reason he is still here is that I had previously indicated he was a mystery color. Now, at 10 months old, he is still bay. Being out of two grey parents, I still will not guarantee bay color but believe he will stay the color he is now. I believe the ultimate person for this wonderful colt, who is Mr. Personality, will fall in love and the color become secondary. First son of Galisteo, this sparkling fellow is very upright and I'm predicting that he can be a dressage prospect ---he moves with power from the hind end, upright in the front and doesn't seem at all like the angular and lanky yearlings we often see. We think his sire is our best open dressage prospect we've ever had. Khan was my first foal in my "K" year (2006) which is a tough letter in the spanish alphabet.
