Living on a dirt road, I get more than my share of stray dogs and have always enjoyed immensely those Heinz 57 dogs who seemed to find me. I never, ever dreamed I'd be breeding dogs, but after meeting some incredible Pembroke welsh corgi's, like the andalusians, I wanted just one. As a surprise to no one who knows me, I am now breeding corgi's too!

Every word you will ever read about corgi's is true: they are truly huge dogs in small bodies and I defy anyone to have a corgi and not smile at least once a day. They are loyal, energetic, amusing and hardy little characters.

My first pair of Corgi's, Oscar and Emmy, are no longer with us but I am currently breeding Oliver and Bonnie Blue Butler. Good friends in Arizona made Oliver a part of my life. Despite his getting stomped by a visiting stallion when he was very young and barely surviving, Oliver is total joy and quite a fellow from his sleeping on the porch to protect the household at night to being at my heels every minute that I am out and about. Bonnie came from Virginia and is a natural leader, never misses anything and gives me the impression she simply adores me. Since pups, the two have had a bond I've rarely seen in animals and they are almost always touching one another when they sleep and they pair up at play, causing much jealousy with the other 5 dogs I have at the present!

Bonnie's first litter was born on October 26, 2006 and produced a red and white male: Dallas, now residing with a horse customer and now friend, Cynthia, in Metamora, Michigan and 4 females: Herradura's Nora, the tri colored one in the litter who I kept and will be breeding in the future, and 3 red and white females: Abbey, who belongs to a Priscilla and John, a long time dog breeder and dog show judge who lives locally, our riding instructor and the trainer of my Galisteo, Molly who has Desiree and Gail, a golf fan who named her pup Birdie. I am so grateful that the pups found extraordinary homes and hope the same for the upcoming litter.

The next litter is due the end of April, 2007 and orders are being taken now to reserve pups. Males are $350 and females $400, all registerable with the AKC and initial vaccinations done. Only loving homes will be approved (with yards - no apartments, please, for these active little athletes). You will be given a schedule for worming and shots and list of what worming and shots done by the time you pick up your pup and if, for some reason, your puppy doesn't work out, I will take it back.

Oliver is available to breed outside Pembroke corgi females.

If you would like any additional information relating to corgi's or my dogs, I hope you will contact me.
